Hochiminh city, July 18th, 2011, series of IT events were organized by International Data Group IDG in collaboration with The Ministry of Information and Communications, The National Steering Committee on Information and Communication Technologies, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hochiminh City Computer Association (HCA), held on July 14-17, 2011 include: the 16th Vietnam Consumer Digital World Expo, the 9th Vietnam E-Government Symposium, Vietnam ICT Outlook 2010-2011, successfully ended at 7pm on July 17th, 2011.
The 16th Vietnam Consumer Digital World Expo has proved to be the largest and the most prestigious exhibition of IT, electronics and telecommunications in Vietnam. The exhibition attracted nearly 300 corporations, national and international companies with over 400 booths and nearly 220.000 visitors. Besides, the 9th Vietnam E-Government Symposium and Vietnam ICT Outlook 2010-2011 held on July 14-15, 2011, attracted over 900 attendees, with participation of Minister Le Doan Hop of Ministry of Information and Communications; Mr. Le Trung Ta, Deputy Head of National Steering Committee on Information and Communications; Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong of Ministry of Information and Communications; Mr. Bob Carrigan, CEO IDG Communications, State leaders, enterprises sector, domestic and abroad IT community.

Activities within the framework of VCW were organized to connect IT community, attracting thousands of young technology enthusiasts.Including:

Bidding Game: Bidding Game was organized on website www.vcw.org.vn, starting from April 19th till July 3rd, every week with 9 winners. Results were published on event’s website: http://vcw.org.vn/vi/tro-choi.html

Online registration: registration to attend at VCW on event’s website: www.vcw.org.vn to receive prize codes. With the prize codes ending 00, visitors will be prized with an IT gifts and gifts will be given during 4 days of exhibtion. Program has given 124 winners.

Free bus support: the Organization Board supports free shuttle bus to pick visitors up in 2 places: Notre Dame and Nguyen Du Galaxy during 4 days of exhibition. Free Coca support when visiting exhibition.
VIETNAM E-GOVERNMENT SYMPOSIUM AND VIETNAM ICT OUTLOOK 2010 - 2011

Vietnam E-Government Symposium with the theme "E-Government integrated with administrative procedures reform" includes 3 opening speeches of the State leaders, 6 major reports, 3 sessions with a total of 19 scientific reports, 25 local and foreign speakers. Each session includes a panel discussion after the end of reports and a general discussion to end symposium with the theme “Building E-Government in locality”.
Vietnam ICT Outlook 2010-2011 was chaired by Hochiminh City Computer Association, held on July 14th, 2011, including 11 scientific reports of domestic and aborad speakers.
